Take A Break Magazine Publishes Special Pro-Age Issue

Take a Break is this week publishing a pro-age special, dedicated to enjoying life over 50.
The issue celebrates all things pro-age, including a fashion shoot with a 50+ model, the best beauty buys for mature skin, dating advice, tips for healthy eating and true-life stories about later-life transformations. There’s also unmissable health and wellbeing information, including how to be a super-ager and the truth about hormone replacement therapy (HRT).
The issue also introduces Take a Break’s new column ‘Take a Break Voices’, featuring women from diverse backgrounds who will share their experiences in positive and inspiring ways. The first of its new regular columnists are Elizabeth Forbes-Stobbe, Tracey McCormack and Sunita Thind.
Former nurse and author Elizabeth Forbes-Stobbe is 57, runs her own business and is happily single after 20 years of marriage. In the latest issue, Elizabeth shares her experiences of menopause and her upbeat solution to hot flushes and brain fog.
In future issues Tracey McCormack, 36-year-old mum-of-two, talks about what post-lockdown freedom means to a wheelchair user and Sunita Thind, 39, poet, dog lover and make-up fan, shares her personal experiences as a cancer survivor in a South Asian community.
Take a Break Editor Rebecca Fleming commented: “We have loved hearing our readers’ positive stories about later life – one of my favourites was about a 51-year-old who ditched marriage for a toyboy half her age and has never been happier! – and we hope this special issue will inspire everyone who’s 50+ to get the most out of every day. We’re also so excited to welcome Elizabeth, Tracey and Sunita to the Take a Break family and can’t wait for our readers to discover their insightful and inspirational stories and experiences.”
The pro-age issue of Take a Break is on sale Thursday 8th July 2021.
