Trail Magazine takes home PPA Digital Award

Trail Magazine celebrated a win at the PPA Digital Awards last week taking home Social Media Campaign of the Year for #EverestAnywhere.
The campaign challenged people to climb the height of Everest (8848 metres) in a year by adding up their ascent on every hill walk wherever they are.
The PPA Digital Awards celebrate those in publishing driving the industry’s ongoing digital revolution and Trail can now claim one the most coveted awards in the sector.
From a moderate start in 2017, the challenge exploded in 2018 largely through social media interactions and promotion, and as a result challenge sign ups went up 310% in the first half of 2018. With a base of 4,074 participants, Facebook group membership increased by 244% to 1,168 members at the end of August 2018, with 92% of members regularly engaging. The team sold 346 #EverestAnywhere mountain cravats with a revenue of £3448 and Marmot have now provided £8000 sponsorship to the challenge two years running.
Congratulations to everyone at Trail Magazine invovled in this brilliant win!
