Bauer Media Audio has created an innovative digital audio experience designed to bring Christmas cheer into its listeners homes.

Bauer Media Audio has created an interactive Alexa Skill – a family game which tests players on their knowledge of Christmas songs, festive traditions, movies and TV.  To enjoy the quiz, just say “Alexa, open Magic’s Christmas Quiz” to devices with Alexa.

Hosted by Magic Radio Breakfast presenters Ronan Keating and Harriet Scott, the game extends the appeal of the Magic Radio brand into a new digital sphere, enabling a new form of audio engagement.

The Alexa Skill complements a wider partnership with Bauer Media Audio and Amazon collaborating on a series of other digital innovations. Ronan Keating has recorded a special pre-roll ‘Merry Christmas’ message to complement the incredibly popular Amazon “Hey Santa” Skill that will be dynamically inserted into listener feeds before Magic Radio – which recently flipped to play 100% Christmas music – is played on devices with Alexa. Likewise, the Amazon Santa voice will also be heard across Magic Radio, in trails across the station. 

The quiz is the latest of several pioneering digital experiences created by Bauer Media Audio, designed to bring the listener even closer to the radio brands they know and love. Earlier this year, the company launched two Alexa Skills, allowing audiences to play Absolute Radio Breakfast’s “Five words five grand” game, along with Bush and Richie’s “Through the decades”.
