Mojo Celebrates 300th Issue With Bespoke White Album Collector’s Edition and Exclusive CD
Bauer Media’s monthly music bible, MOJO will celebrate its 300th issue this month, publishing a tribute collector’s issue commemorating The Beatles‘ legendary White Album.
The statement minimalist cover, printed almost entirely white and free of its usual cover lines, hits newsstands later this week.
Launch editor Paul Du Noyer returns to MOJO to provide the full inside story of The Beatles‘ radically revamped White Album. Alongside Paul, all the other previous editors of the magazine make contributions – Mat Snow, Paul Trynka, Pat Gilbert and Phil Alexander.
Elsewhere in the magazine, readers can look forward to interviews with Damon Albarn, Neneh Cherry, Elvis Costello, Ray Davies, The Edge, John Fogerty, Ian Gillan, Julia Holter, Roger McGuinn, Krist Novoselic, Yoko Ono, Jimmy Page, Paul Simon, Paul Simonon, Jack White and Ronnie Wood.
This special issue also includes an exclusive CD entitled The MOJO Anthology, featuring some of the best-loved artists of MOJO’s lifetime, including U2, Arctic Monkeys, Johnny Marr, Nick Cave, Noel Gallagher, St Vincent and Paul Weller. Of the fifteen rare tracks, six are previously unreleased.
Commenting on the issue, editor John Mulvey said: “Twenty-five years ago, in the very first issue of MOJO, our founding editor Paul Du Noyer wrote that, ‘Our aim is to cover the best music we know, in the best way we know how.
