Bauer at the double: Classic Car Weekly & Grazia land BSME gongs

Our editorial leaders at Grazia and Classic Car Weekly were honoured by the British Society of Magazine Editors at their annual awards.
The awards considered the ‘Oscars of the magazine world’ crown the country’s best editors, art directors and columnists as a celebration of editorial excellence and innovation.
Classic Car Weekly Editor David Simister was named Editor of the Year in the Motoring category. The judges recognised that he “consistently delivers authoritative, well-research content. Powered by expert opinion and in-depth specials, Classic Car Weekly proves to be an influential publication for its audience and beyond.”
Grazia’s Hattie Brett (Editor), Carolyn Roberts (Creative Director) and Jane McFarland (Associate Editor) were recognised for leading the creation of GRAZIA Casa in the Launch of the Year category.
“It takes guts and insight to create a print brand extension, and the winners have shown both to launch GRAZIA Casa,” the judges said. “This attractive homeware magazine also benefits from the brand’s digital channels, creating something that readers love, and commercial partners have rushed to support.”
The awards were handed out at a black-tie event in the Ballroom at Rosewood London with colleagues from across our business in attendance to support all 10 of our nominees.
“Congratulations to David, Hattie, Carolyn and Jane on this amazing recognition,” said Helen Morris, co-CEO – UK Publishing, Bauer Media Group. “We’re proud of the creativity and entrepreneurship that our editorial leaders and talent show each and every day, and these awards are testament to that alongside everyone that was nominated.”
