London, November 21, 2016: Bauer Media has announced the appointment of Matt Batchelor to lead strategic relations with Bauer’s agency partners in the newly created role of Director of Agency Relations and Trading.

In this role, Matt will be working closely with Group Commercial Director Simon Kilby and the advertising leadership team to drive increased share of revenue across their platforms and build on expanding Bauer’s branded content offering.

Matt brings with him a wealth of experience in the media business. Most recently, he held the post of Group Agency Sales Director for ESI Media, the company that represents the commercial interests of The Independent, London Evening Standard and London Live. At ESI Media, Matt’s remit was to drive revenues for display and native formats, branded content, sponsorship and content partnerships.   

Prior to that, he began his career in sales at IPC Music & Sport, and spent eight years at The Mail on Sunday.

Matt will start the newly created role on Monday 21st November and will report into Simon Kilby, Group Commercial Director, Bauer Media.
