TV Choice Awards 2026 Shortlist Revealed
The first-round votes have been counted, and it’s time to reveal the TV favourites who will be stepping onto the red carpet at The London Hilton on Park Lane on Monday 2nd February – as the shortlist for the TV Choice Awards 2026 is unveiled.
One star sure to be thrilled with the shortlist is TV favourite Lee Mack, thanks to an impressive four nominations, including Best Comedy Performance for Not Going Out, which itself makes the Best Comedy Show list. Meanwhile, his Saturday night hit The 1% Club is in contention for the Best Gameshow prize, and he also has a stake in the Best Entertainment Show category from his role as a team captain on Would I Lie To You?
Family favourite Stacey Solomon will also be delighted with her double nomination, with Best Lifestyle Show for Sort Your Life Out, and Best Reality Show for Stacey & Joe.
The always hotly contested Best New Drama category showcases the incredible range of stories told on British TV over the last year – from the hard-hitting Adolescence and Code Of Silence to the true life I Fought The Law, period saga The Hardacres and the sun-drenched Return to Paradise.
Meanwhile, big names feature in the acting categories, including both Stephen Graham and Owen Cooper for Adolescence, Danny Dyer for Mr Bigstuff, Ruth Jones for Gavin And Stacey: The Finale, and Rose Ayling-Ellis for Code of Silence.
Soap action has been non-stop, with another year of fine acting and gripping plots, so it’s impossible to guess who’ll grab our Best Soap, Best Soap Performance and Best Soap Newcomer awards. Those announcements are always the biggest cliffhangers of our ceremony!
And with Race Across the World and The Traitors up against I’m A Celebrity…, it’s a nail-biter for Best Reality Show – while Strictly Come Dancing, Britain’s Got Talent, The Great British Bake Off and The Masked Singer battle it out for Best Talent Show… Or could The Great British Sewing Bee have the competition all stitched up?
“British TV is so gloriously unpredictable,” says TV Choice editor Gary Gillatt. “One minute you’re crying over Adolescence, the next you’re shouting answers at The 1% Club or arguing about who should’ve been unmasked as a giant spaghetti bolognese. That’s the joy of it. It’s telly that unites families and keeps the whole nation talking. And a TV Choice Award – chosen entirely by viewers – is the ultimate seal of approval!”
We’re delighted that Jason Manford is returning to host on the big night itself. And, whoever triumphs, you can be sure that showbiz’s most-watched stars and major players will be there when the TV Choice Awards are handed out at The London Hilton on Park Lane on Monday 2nd February.
Voting is now open and viewers can cast your vote until 16th November at www.tvchoicemagazine.co.uk/vote.
