Absolute Radio Country reveals new schedule as station gets ready to relaunch with the help of Keith Urban, The Shires and Sam Palladio

Absolute Radio has announced the line-up for Absolute Radio Country as the station gets set to relaunch with the help of Keith Urban, The Shires and Sam Palladio on 17th May.

The station will be welcoming the Dave Berry Breakfast Show each weekday morning from 6am-10am, as well as Hometime with Bush & Richie between 4-7pm weekdays. Absolute Radio’s world-first technology means that listeners across the network can choose from 9 playlists, and Absolute Radio Country listeners will be able to interact with the two much-loved programmes while enjoying the biggest country songs.

Keith Urban and The Shires will be joining Absolute Radio Country presenter Baylen Leonard this Monday and Tuesday at 10am, for an exclusive chat, as he introduces The No Repeat Guarantee across the station between 10am-1pm weekdays. Lou Nash will then be taking over on the station between 1-4pm, to ensure that no song will be repeated during the working day.

The Nashville show moves to 7pm with all of the biggest guests, stories and culture straight from the Music City. Listeners will spend their weeknights with Paul Koffy and Jasmine Sadry who will be joined by exclusive guests from amongst the biggest music stars such as Kelsea Ballerini and Brothers Osborne who will be joining in on Monday evening. Nashville star and Country artist Sam Palladio will also be hosting two special shows, where he picks all his favourite country tracks from Sunday 30th May.

Sam Palladio commented “I’m really excited to be a part of the launch for Absolute Radio Country, sharing my favourite music and stories from Nashville.”

On weekends Una Healy will still be waking you up on Saturday mornings whilst Jenny Longden, Matt Spracklen and DJ Hish lead a whole new weekend schedule alongside bespoke documentaries to tell the story behind this incredible music genre.

As the station gets set for its exciting relaunch, listeners will be front row and centre for exclusive opportunities such as one-off sessions, gigs and festival partnerships.

Absolute Radio Content Director Paul Sylvester added “Absolute Radio Country will be offering people even more choice at breakfast and hometime, the biggest guests direct from Nashville in the evenings and listeners won’t hear the same songs repeated during the workday with the No Repeat Guarantee. I’m delighted Baylen, Una and the team are continuing this journey as we share the biggest Country songs of all-time alongside new music and specialist programming.”

Absolute Radio Country will play the biggest songs in country from legends such as Dolly Parton and Johnny Cash to superstars like Carrie Underwood and Keith Urban alongside brand-new artists like Gabby Barrett and Jimmie Allen.

From 17th May, listeners can find Absolute Radio Country on DAB digital radio, ask their smart speaker to ‘Play Absolute Radio Country’, download the Absolute Radio app, or go to absoluteradio.co.uk
