Jo Jesmond returns to Free Radio
Free Radio today announced the return of much loved radio presenter Jo Jesmond to the airwaves in 2018.
Jo, who previously hosted the breakfast show across Shropshire & The Black Country for eight years until 2010, will return to the station in January to launch the “Jo & Ed” show, alongside Ed Nell.
Bridgenorth based Jo, who left the station before the birth of her second child, was a big hit with listeners alongside co-host Fresh and now says she’s itching to get back on-air.
“I really can’t wait to come back to the show and start waking you lovely people up in the morning – I’m so excited!’
Jo’s return sees her team up with former breakfast host Ed Nell – who currently hosts the drive time slot. Ed said “I’ve known Jo for years and we get on like a house on fire. She’s so much fun and I’m really looking forward to getting started.’
Jo & Ed start on Wednesday 3rd January followed by a guest appearance by Jo in Jack & the Beanstalk at Wolverhampton Grand Theatre that evening. The guys will also be appearing at several Christmas Lights switch on events in the coming weeks.
Free Radio Regional Content Director Mike Newman said “To have Jo back on the radio is something of a dream come true – she’s effortlessly entertaining and I know how much good feeling Jo still has around here. With the equally talented Ed Nell by her side, I can’t wait to hear the show in 2018″.
